My Pregnancy Diary
One week
So I guess the countdown officialy starts. One week to go. His lease is running out!! He's getting so big I'm starting to get nervous. I put a belly picture on my picture blog so all can see how big the belly really is.
I'm starting to feel better from this stupid cold I have. Soooo tired though. I guess my body is working twice as hard to fight this cold and being pregnant. My doc's appt is tomorrow so we'll see what she has to say.
Other than that, I'm doing good, baby's good and hopefully soon I'll be saying my labour was good.

10 days to d-day
10 days, 10 days, 10 days.....
I'm going for a pedicure tomorrow which I can not wait for!!!! With not feeling well and being ready to pop- getting a pedicure is going to be heaven!!
Baby has dropped even more and depending on which way he moves feels like he's going to fall out on his own. This last stretch is....... let's just say, everything you go through in the last four weeks is to make you ready, willing and able to go through anything to get the child out. It makes the idea of labour so appealing. If it means the child will be getting out- labour it is! Bring it on! PLEASE!
Sick or not- I'm ready! (but after my pedicure  )

Any day now...........
Okay I'm ready. I've been up since 2:30 with my hips aching really bad and he's been non stop partying today. One of those days where I'm looking at my belly going "okay, I'm ready. Anytime now would be good with me".
But to actually think that we're only 2 weeks away to our due date is really freaky. The reality is really starting to sink in that at any moment he's going to join us and it's no longer going to be the 2 of us and me preggo but 2 of us, me not preggo and a baby. I can't really describe how I'm feeling..... anxious, excited, nervous- yes of course, but to spend 10 months preparing, eating/not eating certain foods, giving up wine, giving up smoking, preparing a nursery, taking classes. You make all these changes to your life to give the best possible start to a little innocent life and when it comes down to the final countdown of when you're actually going to meet them, it's undescribable. It's like preparing yourself for a mrathon for 10 months- hard training, emotional ups/downs, all the physical changes- All 10 months focusing on the big race, making sure you're ready and now it's just days before the big race.
I can't wait to meet this little person! As fun as it is to see him poke and kick through my skin I now can't wait to see what his little feet and round bum look like. To hear his cry when he first joins us, to hold him and comfort him. And I can't wait to see the look in hubby's eyes the first time he sees his son.
Okay- I'm tearing up now....
Tomorrow I see the OBGYN and hopefully this weeks visit will be more thorough than last weeks. I'll keep ya posted.

He loves music!
I'm playing music whilst I type and baby is going nuts dancing around!! I wonder if his movements are ones of protest or excitement. Does he like my choice of music or is he telling me to "shut that crap off"?

37 1/2 weeks
The Belly is huge!!!! Sleeping had become diffficult and I'm soo ready now!
I still feel good. Tired- but I guess that's just something I'm going to be from now on.....
I would love to go for a massage!!!! Carrying this kind of weight all in the front is torture on your feet and back. I had my OBGYN appt. on Thursday and all is good. He has dropped more so he's now fully ready. I do find he's calmed down a bit but not much. The kicks are lot harder now and sometimes even hurt. Especially when he gets going on the ribs. It's funny to watch a foot poke out of my side or him stick his bum so far out he pushes my belly button out. He LOVES being rubbed. He pushes right out into your hand. I'm getting so anxious to see him. What does he look like? Who does he look like? What mix of the genes did he get? We'll see soon enough I suppose.
Trying to not think about labour..... good thing we have epidurals now a days!!!

23 days to go
Ahhhh, after a much needed GOOD sleep and having slept with a water bottle against my back to ease the back pain, I feel refreshed and good to go.
I woke up this morning and so far have cleaned the bathrooms, swept the floors and folded a load of laundry. All before having my coffee. Today feels like it's going to be a productive day!
The tallies have been coming in for the pool. So far the earliest is March 13 and the latest is March 29...... My vote is for the March 13th one- a week early is so much more apppealing than a week late.
Anyways, I'm off to use this energy while I still have it.

He's dropped more
And I am sooo uncomfortable in any other position other than lying down. I guess this is the fun part of the last few weeks.
Yesterday was the baby shower. I twas AMAZING! Everyone involved did such a great job. They totally surprised me. Hubby did a great job at getting me out of the house without me being suspicious. All though I do apologize to anyone who partook in the cleaning of my house before everyone showed up. I know it was in quit a state.
Baby got so mych stuff! I can't believe it. It was a great time, great food, lots of people came and thank you to everyone to coming, for the organizing of it and for just being there. It was great!!
I had a moment after everyone left while looking at all the stuff where I realized how quickly the next 3 1/2 weeks are going to go. 3 1/2 weeks- that's nothing! And really it could be anytime now. AHH! It's weird how much your body slows down (I've been getting tired soo easily) in the last few weeks. It's like mother nature is making you slow down since it could happen at any moment.
Tonight we had the tour of the hospital. So now we know where to go. We're ready! The baby pool has started (I sent an e-mail to everyone today) on when, time and weight. It shall be interesting. I have my next doc appt on Thursday and after that it's every week.
My fingers are crossed that it'll be sooner than later!!!!
